Executor
Executor connects the accounts and tools you use to the AI agents you already work with, through a single MCP server. Your agents can also build custom tools, automations, storage and interfaces on top of those connections.

Executor calls itself "the cloud for agents." It brings connectors, skills, automations and personal software together in one place. You add Executor to your agent once, and from then on every agent can share all the accounts you've connected. It doesn't run any AI itself; instead, it extends the agents you already use, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT and Gemini.
Key features
- Unified connections: Connect services such as Gmail, Calendar, GitHub, Linear, Slack, Notion, Stripe, Drive, PostHog and Sentry. You can also add existing MCP servers, or let your agent write any tools that are missing.
- Authorize once, use everywhere: Each account is connected once through a secure link, and credentials never appear in conversations or code. You can set up multiple connections for the same integration, such as a personal account and a work account.
- Build on top of your connections: You can ask your agent to generate an app made up of the following parts, layered as needed:
- Tools (essentially JavaScript code)
- Skills (reusable SKILL.md instructions)
- Storage (keeps data and state between runs)
- Scheduled tasks and webhook triggers
- Multi-step durable workflows
- Pages or interfaces for people to use
- Automation as code: There is no visual flow builder. Your agent writes automations as code, and Executor runs them on a schedule or when a webhook arrives, without needing the agent to be online.
- Access control: User feedback mentions that a blocklist feature can be used to block dangerous actions in certain MCPs.
Target users and use cases
It suits individual developers and teams who use multiple AI agents or clients and don't want to repeat MCP and OAuth setup in each one. It's also a good fit for users who want agents to run scheduled tasks over the long term, respond to events, or generate small internal tools.
How it differs from similar products
- The official website states that it is neither an agent nor a flow builder like n8n or Zapier.
- Like Composio, it can connect accounts, but it also lets you bring your own integrations, change the behavior of any tool, and build apps on top.
- It can still be used purely as an MCP gateway, with all other capabilities being optional.
Deployment options
- Cloud: Use Executor Cloud, hosted by the vendor.
- Desktop (Beta): Available for Mac, Linux and Windows, and can be downloaded from GitHub Releases.
- Command line: Run
npm i -g executor@betato start a local service in your terminal. - Self-hosted: Run the server on infrastructure you control; see the official self-hosting documentation for details.
Notable points
The project is open source (the GitHub repository is UsefulSoftwareCo/executor) and backed by Y Combinator. The website lists browser and computer capabilities as "coming soon." The desktop app and command line are still in Beta.
